Why this is happening now

The copper network is being shut down

Federal rules now let phone companies retire copper on short notice, and Minnesota wire centers are already receiving retirement notices. Businesses that wait end up paying rising line prices, or scrambling after a line goes dead.

No new copper orders

Lumen (CenturyLink) has stopped most new copper line orders across its legacy territory, which covers much of Minnesota.

Rising line prices

Carriers keep raising prices on the analog lines that are still running.

Life-safety lines

Fire alarm and elevator phone lines are required by code, so they can't simply be dropped.

What we do

Phone lines, phone systems and the network behind them

POTS line replacement

We replace analog lines for fire alarms, elevators, fax, POS and gate entry with UL-listed cellular devices that have battery backup. We audit every line first.

How replacement works

Business phone systems

Cloud and on-site VoIP: desk phones, mobile apps, auto attendants, call queues. We port your numbers, set up the system and train your staff.

Phone system options

Network & field services

Network equipment, Wi-Fi, site surveys, smart hands, and multi-site rollouts for national integrators that need a reliable crew in Minnesota.

How it works

From line audit to a passed inspection

  1. Line audit

We visit the site and trace every analog line: what it connects to, who bills for it, and what it costs you each month.

  2. Plan & quote

You get a written plan showing which lines to replace, which to cancel, and the monthly cost before and after.

  3. Install & test

We install and test with your alarm monitoring company or elevator contractor, then document everything with photos.

  4. Monitor & support

Devices are monitored around the clock. When something needs attention you call us directly, not a national hotline.

Common questions

Before you call

Do I have to replace my POTS lines?

Not until the carrier retires them, but prices keep rising and retirement notices can come with only a few months' warning. Replacing on your schedule is cheaper and calmer than replacing after a line dies.

Will my fire alarm still pass inspection?

Yes, if it's done correctly. We use devices listed for fire alarm communication, coordinate with your monitoring company, and work with licensed fire alarm and elevator contractors where code requires it.

What happens during a power or cell outage?

The devices have battery backup, and most can switch between two cellular carriers. We check signal strength on site before we recommend anything.

How much does it cost?

It depends on how many lines you have and what they connect to. Many customers pay less per month than they do for copper today. The line audit is free and comes with a written quote.

Do you work outside the Twin Cities?

Yes. We cover all of Minnesota and nearby parts of Wisconsin, the Dakotas and Iowa.
